Pastor Ray Rodriguez
I accepted Christ as my Savior in the Spring of 1976, while living in Louisville, KY, and working for General Electric as an engineer. I soon began attending Highview Baptist Church where I started serving in various capacities. Then, in the Fall 1978 , I came to Florida on a job transfer and began attending Indian Rocks. Soon thereafter, I started serving as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and prison ministry leader.
In 1988, I sensed God's call to full-time ministry and enrolled in a seminary program that was offered at the time by Trinity College, known as Tampa Bay (now Dallas) Theological Seminary which I completed in 1991. Then in the Summer of 1992, God led me to New Mexico. There, I pastored one church for two years and then planted a second one, where I served as founding pastor until God called me back to Indian Rocks in the Summer of 2001.
I have been serving Christ here at Indian Rocks since that time. My greatest passion is to see people come to know Christ as Savior and to help them grow in their knowledge of God's Word and become mature, committed followers of His and start serving Him with their gifts and talents.
God has blessed me with my precious wife, Bonnie, and great children: Andrea (& son-in-law, Robert), Erika, Jonathan, and Donovan (daughter-in-law, Marissa); a grandson: Everett and 3 grand-daughters: Bailee, Samantha, and Rylee.
God IS Good!!!
