Biblical Portrait of Marriage Class

This class is for married couples who desire to strengthen their marriage bond and for engaged couples getting prepared for marriage who want to begin the right way. Topics include understanding my role in marriage, finances, communication, conflict and loyalty. The next eight-week class begins on Sunday, September 12, at 10:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Center-Elementary Library. Please call Dawn in the Church Office at 593-8722 to register.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

If you are an expectant mom, or have a child, ages birth through Kindergarten, MOPS is for you! Please join us on Monday, September 13, in the Education Center, Room EC-252, for our 2010/2011 kick off meeting. There will be a guest speaker, light breakfast, and a craft. While you are fellowshipping with other moms, your children will be cared for in a preschool-like program, MOPPETS. Please email jtmorrison@knology.net to pre-register your child.

Women's Fall Bible Study - "Forgotten God" by Francis Chan begins Tuesday, September 14 through November 2. Morning Session is from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Center. Childcare provided by reservation only. Evening Session is from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Center. Experiencing God Class

6:00 - 8:00 p.m. 

Learn to hear when God is speaking to you and experience the fullness of real, personal fellowship with God. This 14-week class will begin on Wednesday, September 15. Please note that in order to participate in this course, you must attend the first meeting. Classes will meet in the Fellowship Center Elementary Library from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Registration is required by September 13, by calling Dawn in the Church Office at 593-8722. Workbooks must be purchased prior to class start and are available at Charis Christian Bookstore. Class size is limited to 16 participants.

We are excited to announce that we are doing a Church Pictorial Directory through Olan Mills. We want all of our church family to participate. Beginning August 22 through October 3, you can sign up before and after each service across from the Charis Christian Bookstore. By having your photo taken, you will receive a free 8 x 10 photo and a copy of the directory. You must be a church member and no pets please.

First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks will host VeggieTales Live on Thursday, October 21, at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tickets and event information are available through VeggieTales on their website bigidea.com. Tickets are also available in Charis Christian Bookstore.
