The Men & Boys Retreat is scheduled for November 19-24 in the northeast mountains of Tennessee. Pick up a flyer at the Men's Ministry Booth in the Connector. There is an informational breakfast meeting on Saturday, September 11, at 8:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Center.
This class is for married couples who desire to strengthen their marriage bond and for engaged couples getting prepared for marriage who want to begin the right way. Topics include understanding my role in marriage, finances, communication, conflict and loyalty. The next eight-week class begins on Sunday, September 12, at 10:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Center-Elementary Library. Please call Dawn in the Church Office at 593-8722 to register.
If you are an expectant mom, or have a child, ages birth through Kindergarten, MOPS is for you! Please join us on Monday, September 13, in the Education Center, Room EC-252, for our 2010/2011 kick off meeting. There will be a guest speaker, light breakfast, and a craft. While you are fellowshipping with other moms, your children will be cared for in a preschool-like program, MOPPETS. Please email jtmorrison@knology.net to pre-register your child.
Celebrate National Assisted Living week September 13-17 at Heron House. Special events include the Gulfport Senior Harmonica Band-Monday, Chapel and Hymn sing-Tuesday, Antique Car show-Wednesday, Hawaiian Luau-Thursday, and our many daily activities that make living at Heron House a joyous occasion any day. Women's Fall Bible Study - "Forgotten God" by Francis Chan begins Tuesday, September 14 through November 2. Morning Session is from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Center. Childcare provided by reservation only. Evening Session is from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Center. We are excited to announce that we are doing a Church Pictorial Directory through Olan Mills. We want all of our church family to participate. Beginning August 22 through October 3, you can sign up before and after each service across from the Charis Christian Bookstore. By having your photo taken, you will receive a free 8 x 10 photo and a copy of the directory. You must be a church member and no pets please.
Cultivate is a one-night celebration and time of connection for the purpose of Kingdom advancement through the planting of new churches in our area and around the world. Cultivate is for already existing churches, new churches, and next generation churches to come together, worship, connect over dessert, and pray for more workers of the fields. Join us for dessert from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks Fellowship Center.
