OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY

This course focuses on the content of the Old Testament books, the historical events that give context to the books and specific questions that help draw out the overarching principles contained in the Old Testament.

 

NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY

This course focuses on the content, unity, and progression of the New Testament scriptures. All 27 books will be examined, noting the emphasis/main theme of each book.

 

SURVEY OF BIBLE DOCTRINE

Teacher: Gary Pierson  Textbook: A Survey of Bible Doctrine; by Charles C. Ryrie
This course is designed to help the Bible student understand what the Bible teaches. In otherwords, It will provide the student with both an overview and understanding of the various doctrines or teachings of the Bible and their importance to Christianity. 

 

END TIME EVENTS - THE BOOK OF REVELATION

Teacher: Joseph McConnell   Textbook: Believer's Bible Commentary; by William McDonald
This course is designed to help the Bible student understand God's final Word to man in the Book of Revelation, a book full of prophecy that will be fulfilled in the end times, culminating with the return of Christ to set up His kingdom. The book of Revelation is the "unveiling" of Jesus Christ, not only as the Lamb that was slain, but as the King of kings and Lord of lords.  No other New Testament book has evoked as much fascination as the this book.

 

BIBLE ESSENTIALS

Teacher: Gary Pierson  Textbook:  Handouts will be provided.
The class will examine the various elements of the Bible that all believers should understand, such as: It's origin and history; Why the different languages; the Bible as a collection of books and how it is divided; how to study and apply blblical principles; how to select a Bible; etc.
